Statsbygg, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, has taken over the project the Norwegian Travel Museum. The project comprises two construction stages, where one is partly completed and one is detailed project for further construction. Construction 1 is a carcass with an area of approx. 250 m². This carcass is subject to furnishing. Construction stage 2 has an area of approx. 1 560 m². Both construction stages are detailed projects but some re-engineering design may be necessary. The museum is directly connected to Kviknes hotel in Balestrand, Sogn og Fjordane. The site in narrow, with other service/businesses in immediate proximity, which is particularly challenging as the building shall be constructed into a rock out.
