Creation of the volume

02_large

The buildings placed to the north of Vali Asr Avenue seem to be slightly out of line with the buildings set to the south of the same street, so we have decided to rotate the building to create a line of conjunction. The ground floor and the first floor follow this new line to welcome visitors in a cosy place. The remaining floors follow the old line of the street, overshadowing the floors below. The images provided show that the road which is perpendicular to Vali Asr Avenue rises towards the east side of the property, so to create an intimate space we have preferred to place the green garden on the second floor, on the same level as the first working space, creating a space pulled apart from the chaotic traffic of the roads beneath and shielded from the highway running approximately 200 metres to the south of the building. A monumental staircase invites visitors to use this space and winds round one of the two volumes hosting the stairs which lead to the different levels of the building.

Connections

C0010001_large

Two stairs, placed at the two opposite sides of the property, allow visitors to reach all the floors of the building - every staircase connects the ground floor to the parking floors and to all those above. The commercial spaces have a privileged entry on Vali Asr Avenue, while the offices and the dwellings can be reached both from the stairs and from the above-mentioned garden.
Skin
A suggestion, the poetry of the landscape and the history of the Islamic republic: the profile of the mountains surrounding the city is made three-dimensionally on the west and the south façades of the building, embroidered with an arabesque that works as a filter from the rays of light. The two monolithic volumes of the stairs are covered with a stone texture which reminds the typical materials of the area. On the east façade a green skin connects the vertical surface with the green garden at its back. A little patio connects the 5th, the 6th and the 7th floor ensuring a fabulous view of the city and the surrounding mountains. The building is given a feeling of lightness by its glass covering, not shielded on the ground and the first floor and the north façade.
Offices and Furniture

We have preferred to use a modular wall (1m x 3m panels) to divide the office spaces; this will facilitate the reorganization of the spaces if a client wants to use two or more spaces together. Furniture is simple and coloured, a warm room that encloses people in a space made of light and a calm atmosphere.
