The main design aim is to form a visual identity between the ground and first floor levels of the shop. This is achieved by stretching the white resin floor to form a very unique staircase that is ‘cut out’ from this stretched floor allowing the two floors to be moulded together as one continuous floor plate. This also allows the customer using the staircase to be framed as they descend or ascend as if they are making a special appearance.

Sybarite have also connected the stainless steel displays between the different floor areas and floor levels so that they become ‘living’ fluid elements. The vivid red ceiling colour allows the bespoke light pod units to hover over the space like scattered petals across the ceiling. This design principle is echoed within the floor areas by ‘cut-out’ shapes which form sunken soft seating areas.
