LOCATION. Arrivals Cinfães still missing 12 km. We continue to go up the Douro river to the mountains Montemuro. When approaching the site we noticed a village – Tendais – unique landscape where time seems to want nothing with this place. From the site, facing the West, once again, a silent and grand landscape. In the foreground, the mountains protect the time to get there. Silence installed provides a resting place after a week of hard work.

DEPLOYMENT. The land is located in the far north of the parish of tents. In this, the implementation of dwelling occupies a long narrow rectangle, separated from the remaining land by a stone wall. The volume presents itself as more of a terraced hillside, simple and unobtrusive, given the local environment. HOUSE. Rather, we are welcomed by a space which receives and holds the car. Then enter the building and passed quietly through the kitchen.

BRIGHTNESS. The corridor patterns and the natural light that marks the route access to the rooms. The first moment corresponds to the room and social space where a huge opening frames the landscape. In search of light, the second moment corresponds to the rooms facing south, with a double space, the space of rest and a patio. The final time corresponds to the office or second lounge and / or work, facing north and bright reflection of light in the wall of the courtyard that surrounds it.
