The tour through the Reservation is the structuring element of the entire proposal. It’s the main reason for the visit. All the buildings arise on it, and for it. The shapes they assume, the direction the exterior walls take, the height of the platforms seek to punctuate it, to extend it and add to it. Narrow passages are formed, enlargements for contemplation, concentration areas, selected viewpoints that help understand and interpret the landscape, giving it a leading role. The lightness with which the buildings land on the ground allows a reading of it’s original profile. The chosen coating materials seek to reinforce the enviromental intents of the project: the natural treated wood on the Interpretation Center will bear witness to the passing of time, as it will gradually change it’s colour to grey; the galvanized corrugated sheet metal in the square inside the Center aims to bring to the indoor spaces reflections and chromatic impressions of the strong natural enviroment, simmultaneously creating bright spots that remain contained in this space, without interfering with the surroundings. The modular and pre-fabricated construction options, phased according to the nesting seasons, aim to reduce the inherent impact of the construction of a building this size on an area as sensitive as this one. Also, the choice of a modular construction solution seeks to optimize resources, ensuring the uniformity of the intervention built on the reservation.
