This is the new atelier space of Andrea Tognon Architecture in Milan. The design approach is a real work in progress. First we observed the spaces and worked in them before we actually decided any interventions. The spaces in the office PALAZZINA were quite banal. We started to play with the existing and underlying volumes and spaces only through color. We began from a gray base color adding different pigments for each room, defining imperceptible sequences of spaces. We played with existing neon lights revisiting them just with color tape to warm up the light and give it emotional value. Then we unified different buildings through applying black color, with which we turned outside spaces to spaces with interior feeling. The project is a work in progress, an occasion to experiment with ideas  of simplicity but with a strong spatial and emotional impact …
