The new building completes a city block in the centre of Vevey. The urban void be- hind the buildings was a residual space used as a parking lot and for utility purposes. The intervention took advantage of the void and turned it into a main hall for all the buildings of the block. The once neglected space became a common area with a big patio and a green roof, offering a garden view for all the buildings around it. The new five floors office building frames the roof garden without enclosing it and maintains a wide visual panorama on the city and the mountains.

Le nouveau bâtiment complète un îlot du centre de Vevey. La cour, jusqu’alors considérée comme un arrière, servant de dépôt et de parking à ciel ouvert, accueille un corps de bâtiment bas. Ce choix modifie radicalement son ambiance, métamorphosant un lieu négligé en une zone commune, avec un grand patio et une toiture fortement végétalisée. Il améliore la qualité des espaces de travail de l’ensemble des bâtiments qui le surplombent, en substituant à la vision de véhicules à l’arrêt, le tableau d’un jardin verdoyant. Le nouveau bâtiment construit borde la cour sans la refermer et maintient une large échappée visuelle sur la ville et les montagnes.
