Concept essentially integrates ancient Kalemegdan fortification into its own communication with waterfront. From every point of pedestrian path, from every part of it’s module, it’s possible to overview all the bridges of Sava River, Museum of Contemporary Arts and Mestrovic’s ‘Victor’ monument. It is amusing to experience the very same scope from various elevations.

Functionality – concept of ‘three posts`
1. the post of the international river passenger transport the `gate of the city`, piazza of the port in front of the `kapetanija` shipmaster seat the first physical contact of the travelers with Belgrade, after the official customs control.

2. city tram post – circular tram no.2 Tramway and it’s `route` have been precious in their city tradition and functionality. The focal of the `diagonal` pavilion forms the porch to the tramway stop. With vertical communications this tram stop leads to the both pavilion levels (closed air-conditioned space and the open air deck).

3. The park post – `lower terrace` plateau This `lover terrace` plateau, beneath the Grand Kalemegdan Stairs, has an expressive tendencies to communicate with the waterfront. Posts have been interconnected with two parallel pedestrian communications

a) Commercial prospectus the very character of this street has to be deducted in superposition of the mentality of Balkanska Street (as the one that bears commercial and craftsman activities) and Skadarska Street (as the other one that is the bearer of tourist and catering services)

Traffic and transit
The entrance or the exit to the underground garage `flexes` spontaneously with the tramway rails. Overall number of car parking spaces is 803 and 15 bus parking spaces.

We are convinced that the optimal capacity of the area has to be around 18.000 sqm
The sloped pavilion – has accomplished 10.275 sqm in total
The horizontal pavilion – the function is ambiguous and leaves enough space to accommodate in function. It could achieve from 3.000 sqm up to 9.000 sqm.
