AN OFFICE IS A DESK.
The premises, where the action is performed, are in Toledo old quarter. They are one meter above a tiny square and connected to it through some steps. On a first stage the task will be stripping the place, originally a carpenter’s workshop, of every minor element, suspended ceilings, partition walls, coverings.

By using a large glass door we will open the space towards the square. The office will become integrated in the town and the premises floor will be at the viewer’s eye level.

Finally, this space and its façade turn into a single entity through the grey colour.

The second step is designing a building inside the first one.

We will need nothing more than a desk and some shelves, the bigger the better. The furniture is the outcome of a single profile made to work, with no differences or rank. It could be any size, but it is as big as the space it is set in allows. This furniture has its own flooring, and all the necessary appliances for its use.

On a wooden framework, a translucent methacrylate plate with a satin sheen is placed. This condenses the light, casts no shadows and permits seeing its structure and the objects in it.
