The project starts with a respectful interpretation of the area. It is a reminiscence of the urban structure of Venice with a system of calli and campi that corresponds to its original pattern.

Some buildings have been maintained, opened in some parts and put in continuity with the project. The project is lined with the canals to create the boundary between land and water continuing Venetian urban spaces.

The compact shape of the blocks is excavated on the canal side to create an intimate space.

The main access is from the canal, which, through narrow paths, leads to the heart of the island.

Material and techniques are traditional with use of brick and glass to catch light and water reflection.
