The project refers to extensions of the garden and the building for the Presidential Palace. A new garden was and building wing were constructed. The project integrates both architecture and landscape architecture program and construction problems. The new building corresponds to the growing necessity for functional areas for the President’s staff, and the new garden is its counterpart for open spaces. The new wing follows the typological principle as in the Palace and its construction creates hanging platforms for the garden. The garden itself creates protection for the building in terms of acoustic and weathering. The space of the new garden is a triangular shape platform covered with of which the hedge is constructed with specific vegetation. The conical yews stand as a mark. Their scale, form and darkness aim to create the feeling of having in presence antropomorphic figures, standing in one line and creating a vertical and virtual plane. The president is expected to speak to the public against this scenic presence. The space of the garden was conceptualized as representing the Power.
