The project is developed in an area that is growing as a civic nucleus for Buenos Aires. The building is directly related with the civic park trough it´s ground floor, generating new public situations in a consolidating environment. A matter of importance of its architecture is that it has two public levels. Since the topography of the area is 3 meters deep, it generates different kind of scenarios in a complex program as the one for a museum. This program contains: deposit, administration, auditorium, temporary exhibition, permanent exhibition as well as library, multimedia section, bar, café, gift shop and hotel.
In the designed spaces we can found constant visual links that increases the use of each part of the architectonic program. The -3.00 m level contains the main hall (the perspective to the exterior composes three elements: church-museum-park) that rises between two green patios, developing public program, which provokes a growth of the air contained by this hall. On the other levels lie the exhibitions, library and media. The hotel is contained on the top plan of the museum which is surrounded by patios that fill the interiors with natural light. The ground floor connects both hall and foyer to give birth to a temporal exhibition.
The museum rises as a place of cultural construction.
