The main idea to design the Tower for Dubai, was to think not just a tower like a solitary element, but trying to understand if it could be possible to work with a complex idea of a space formed by different elements but composed in a single building.

Following this idea, it was necessary to understand how to image a Tower like an iconic tall emblem of Dubai in relationship of the necessity to explore a different mode to represent a symbolic building without monumentality. In this research we intended to explain the capacity of a space to be divided and compressed in the same time endeavoring to generate different views. We started to introduce the idea of two elements into one tower trying to organize the space in a way in which the authority of each of these objects could create a strong intensity in the same space.

Like dancers these two objects play with the space of the park. They needed to explore the space in the research of their position and in the research of their position in each other relationship. With this idea the space became in movement in a state of stress or in a condition of tension. When these two elements meet each other, the tower start creating a unique space in which, the possibility to interpret and to translate the concept of a new monumentality without the monumental expression of a symbol, reached a good point.

The different twin tower is in constant moving, in constant tension, in constant research of space, of perspectives and ideas. Its space is not static, the space is not the point in which everybody looks at, but the space is a dynamic space from which everybody could engage new experiences and new point of views. At the end, the idea was to create not a huge or high tower, but to create a feeling, a symbol not of power but a symbol of meeting, a symbol of diversity a symbol of different culture which is able to stay in the same place.
