With a view to create a quality environment in which to serve passengers and clients,
the Kaohsiung Harbor Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications of Taiwan
R.O.C. has formulated a plan for the “Port of Kaohsiung Passenger Transportation
District” and the construction of the “Port and Cruise Service Center”. Cruise and
passenger service facilities and the surrounding environment will be improved, visitors
will be provided with more convenient and comfortable facilities, and the offices of various
port administrative agencies will be integrated within one area to enhance service quality.
Furthermore, the plan will help promote international exchange and boost international as
well as domestic tourism.
The Project will include an integrated
KHB administrative and port and Cruise Service
Center. The main spaces consist of vessel transportation management center, offices,
conference room, boarding ramp, passenger arrival and departure spaces, integrated
service counter and other service spaces.
The Project will also include the following ancillary facilities to support cruise and
passenger services:
- Three passenger gangways and associated track systems
- Access roads and vehicular ramps
- Parking lots and landscaping
The total construction budget is about NT$2,557,000,000. (Including all of the expanses
to complete the construction, labor safety and health administration fees, quality control
fees, contractor’s administration fees & profit, business taxes, insurance fees, air pollution
prevention fees, external cabling subsidy…etc; but, excluding the expanses of public art
installation and the service fee of the Project.)
Stage One: No more than FIVE Shortlist Tenderers shall be selected to enter into the Stage Two.
Stage Two: The winning tenderers shall be selected from the Shortlist Tenderers: One First
Prize will be awarded Priority Price Negotiation Right of this project, one Second
Prize, one Third Prize, and no more than two Honorable Mentions (the jury may
choose not to select any or all prizewinner when it is necessary).
Each of the Shortlist Tenderers submitting the Stage Two Proposal Documents,
Presentation Attachment Materials (including Design Drawings and Model) and
conducting the presentation and Q&A shall be awarded a prize of NT$1,600,000.
(Approximately US$50,000. (Estimated on the basis of exchange rate of 1:32) The
awarded prize money for the winning Tenderer is included in the first payment of
the contract and shall be deducted when the first payment of Service Fee is paid.)
The above prizes will be subject to the R.O.C. income tax and will be withheld by
the KHB in accordance with the law of tax.
