The sector of the Tourism is becoming more and more a driving force for the whole society and the environment. Refering just to the field of hospitality as sector involved with the tourism is an old and limited vision of this phenomenon. If is not controlled, tourism can ruin the territory and the society; but, if it is designed, it can bring to life the territory and the society. We require that all the projects give solutions thinking to this new features that the Tourism propose in the contemporary global society, applying them in 4 different topics in Guanajuato. The best projects will be those that will consider the new risks and the new potentialities of the Tourism, giving the best solutions in terms of environmental, social and economical sustainability.
The projects, supposed to be multidiciplinar, will be evaluated by an international jury composed by Roberto Igñiguez (National Dean of Architecture and Design, Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico), Francesca Galeazzi (Associate ARUP Germany), Fernando Rocha (Guanajuato Minister for Tourism, Mexico), Gloria Cano (Secretary of Tourism Municipality of Leon, Mexico), Jeffrey Johnson (Director of the School of Architecture, University of Kentucky, USA), Yongqi Lou (Dean of the College of Design and Innovation, Tongji University, Shanghai, China), Jennifer Perron (Manager of the MIT CoLab fo climate change, Cambridge, USA), Federico Parolotto (Founder of Mobility in Chain, Milan, Italy) and Margherita Turvani (Profesor at IUAV, Venice, Italy).
The deliver of the projects will be due for the 9th of October 2017 and the best results will be exhibited in several events, starting for the International Baloon Festival at the end of November.
